In 1831, Frederick Adam constructed the palace of Mon Repo in honor of his wife, the same palace where Empress Elisabeth was living.

Mon Repo is an old city, whose spots are connected through leafy paths. At the end of the central road, there is the well reputable beach of Kardaki, which is quite shadowy and therefore explicit for heat waves.
